I want to take this opportunity to thank the Redlands City Council
for their support of the men and women of the Redlands Police
Department Tuesday in voting in favor of the department's Air Support
Unit.
As the dedicated officers, civilian personnel and volunteers of
the Police Department continue their heroic efforts to keep Redlands
the safe community it is, in the face of rising violent crime trends
and an uncertain budget future, the existence of an Air Support Unit
will be a tremendous asset in addressing community needs and in
keeping our officers safe.
Having an airplane overhead will increase the Police Department's
capability's to patrol every portion of the city and add to our ...
