Lest they get too giddy with a 4 -game lead already in hand, the
Angels received T-shirts with a simple message silk screened around
the team logo Friday afternoon.
"Stay Humble," the shirts read, a task made far more difficult
with the erratic Dodgers visiting Angel Stadium for a three-game
series.
And nothing that transpired in the Angels' 7-0 victory suggested
the divergent fortunes of the greater Los Angeles/Anaheim baseball
clubs are going to change anytime soon.
All it took to ruin a perfect game from Jeff Weaver and a taut
pitching duel with John Lackey was a harmless looking two-out pop fly
that fell to the infield dirt in the fifth inning, extending the
