VOLUNTEER CENTER

For information on the following three opportunities, plus many others, call the South Bay/Harbor/Long Beach Volunteer Center, which coordinates the activities of 200 nonprofit agencies. Call (562) 590- 8844 from 9 to 3:30 Mondays through Thursdays.

A child-abuse response team needs caring adults to provide emotional support and information to victims and their families, on call.

Help to assure quality care for the elderly. Investigate and resolve complaints at longterm-care facilities as a state- certified ombudsman.

College and high school youths are being recruited to help ...
