Leave it to Bellflower to link two iconic figures to its golden
anniversary.
"Leave It To Beaver" star Jerry Mathers and Mickey Mouse will
serve as grand marshals of the city's annual Liberty Day Parade in
October, officials announced Thursday.
The duo will be part of the Fabulous Fifty-themed procession of
community groups, churches, military organizations and businesses
that will be marching along a mile-long stretch of Bellflower
Boulevard.
Both were a perfect fit for the parade that commemorates the
city's 50th year of incorporation, said spokeswoman Lynn Komadina.
Mathers also is celebrating the show that made him famous 50 years
