Article: Russo convicted of murder

PASADENA - A jury Thursday found Arcadia stockbroker Richard Robert Russo guilty of first-degree murder for the killing of his wife Carmen in late August 2005.

Russo, 51, was also convicted of two child-endangerment charges after jurors deliberated over the course of two days.

Police say Russo shot and killed his 42-year-old wife, then barricaded himself and the couple's two sleeping children, 6 and 11, in their home in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, 2005. The couple lived in Arcadia's exclusive Santa Anita Oaks neighborhood.
