Article: Police seeking help in finding missing San Gabriel woman

SAN GABRIEL - Police stepped up the search for a 31-year-old Chinese woman missing for almost a month by holding a press conference Wednesday afternoon with her cousin, who expressed deep concern for her absence.

"Usually (two days) didn't pass without her contacting me," said her cousin Jeremy Zhou, a Rosemead man in his 50s, to the small crowd of media gathered in the back parking lot of the San Gabriel Police Department. "I'm very, very worried."

Liya Lu, whose American name is "Jessie," has black hair and brown eyes and is five-feet, three-inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, according to a police press release.
