Article: Growing up with baby; 'Cute clothes': Girl Scouts quickly learn that infants are a lot of work

More than a dozen Dubuque County Girl Scouts are learning this weekend that cute babies require a lot of care.

Lindsey Pregler, 13, was so excited to get an infant simulator for the weekend that she pretended to have contractions Friday night. Her excitement quickly became nervous giggles when she and 16 other Scouts received RealCare Babies. Each one is programmed in the pattern of a real infant to cry for diaper changes, rocking, feeding or burping.
