MADISON (AP) - Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen and three of his
employees have submitted more than $85,000 in attorney fees to be
paid by taxpayers, more than any other legislative office having its
legal bills reimbursed as part of the caucus investigation, documents
released by legislative clerks show.
Legal bills for five lawmakers and their staffs make up about one-
third of the more than $600,000 taxpayers have paid to cover legal
expenses of state employees as part of a secret investigation
district attorneys in Dane and Milwaukee counties are conducting into
whether state workers illegally campaigned on state time.
