NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Brett Favre always knew it would be this way.
So did Aaron Brooks.
Back when Brooks was just a green rookie he used to tell his hero
he was going to be an NFL star. So Favre isn't at all surprised to
see Brooks leading the New Orleans Saints against the Green Bay
Packers today.
"I knew Aaron was going to be one of the top quarterbacks in this
league," Favre said. "All he needed was an opportunity. He used to
say that to me and I said, 'In time, just be patient, it'll work out
for you.'"
But Brooks had a short supply of patience as a rookie in Green
