For many families, the trek to a local tree farm to choose their
Christmas tree has become an annual Yuletide pilgrimage, a rite of
winter.
Finding one that fits your home and your individual tastes is
relatively easy, say Christmas tree experts.
If you are new to shopping for a natural tree, a good place to
begin is with a Christmas tree directory. Iowa, Illinois and
Wisconsin have state Christmas tree grower associations that provide
them.
Obviously, trying to fit a 10-foot tree into a living room with an
8-foot ceiling is not a good idea. Remember, a tree growing outdoors
might be taller than it looks.
