Article: Colts select Iowa tight end Clark in 1st round; Hawkeyes: Steinbach, Nelson go in 2nd round

DES MOINES (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts feel they got someone special in Dallas Clark.

Clark, a tight end from Iowa, was taken by the Colts in the first round of the NFL draft on Saturday. He was the first tight end selected and the 24th pick overall.

"We went into this thing looking to get good football players, and Dallas certainly is that," Indianapolis coach Tony Dungy said with a smile

"We're excited. We're very happy to pick him. We think he'll be special for us."

Two of Clark's teammates were chosen in the second round.
