If someone had asked me what kind of roommate I didn't want to end
up with in college, I probably would have described Abbie to a T,
right down to the designer clothes and nail polish collection. So,
when a tall blonde with perfectly applied make-up entered room No.
212 on the first day of school, I quietly reminded myself to keep an
open mind.
During first term I adjusted to the morning rituals we both
performed. I would tell her that I liked her outfit, and then she'd
try on seven others. I matched her shoes to her belt and her earrings
to her necklace. It's been an incredible lesson in fashion.
