Article: East Dubuque's baseball team blooming; All grown up, Warriors in thick of league race

The East Dubuque and Warren/Stockton baseball teams split their regular season meetings and are in a tight Northwest Upstate Illini- North Conference race to the finish.

Play their respective cards right, and regardless of what happens in the NUI North the teams could be headed for a rubber match in their Illinois Class A regional final.

But come what may, it has already been a terrific season for the Warriors, who have parlayed last year's abundance of youth into an experienced, dangerous team in 2003.
