The Blues' Brett Hull scored his NHL-leading 50th goal last night
in St. Louis, joining his Hall-of-Fame father Bobby Hull as the only
father-son combination in league history to reach that milestone.
Bobby Hull was watching from a private box at the St. Louis Arena
when Brett Hull, 25, scored on a breakaway at 5:55 of the third
period, beating Maple Leafs goaltender Jeff Reese to become the
second player in Blues history to reach 50 goals. Hull also had an
assist, extending his scoring streak to 17 games, as St. Louis won,
6-4.
"It's something you dream about when you're very young," Brett
Hull said while standing next to his father. "It's the greatest
feeling."
