Somewhere along the way, root canal got a bad reputation. My
dentist didn't pay me to say that. Actually, any money changing hands
in our relationship is definitely going in the other direction.
I hear people (nobody you know) say stuff like "Visiting my in-
laws is as bad as having root canal."
It's likely these people have never had root-canal surgery. If
they did, they would know it's only as bad as talking to your in-
laws on the phone.
The problem is, it just sounds painful. Everyone knows the roots
of the teeth aren't ...
