Article: Brunner lends helping hand; Running game pivotal to Iowa sophomore

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Iowa's Greg Brunner sensed things had changed this year. He just didn't know how different it would be until facing No. 17 Louisville.

"Compared to last year, it's nothing," Brunner said after playing the most productive 41 minutes of his career Saturday. "I can run a lot better. It helps me so much."

Brunner consistently kept the Hawkeyes' engine firing in their 70- 69 overtime upset. His 23 points were not only a career-high, but also nearly matched his total from Iowa's first two games.

He connected on 10 of 14 shots, grabbed four rebounds, blocked two shots and even hit a critical 3-pointer to pad Iowa's lead late in regulation.
