DES MOINES - Speaking up doesn't come naturally to most people,
and certainly farmers are no different. But a few years ago
Worthington, Iowa, farmer Gary Lahr decided he needed to tell
farming's story to his non-farm neighbors.
This week, Lahr was recognized as Ag Spokesperson of the Year at
the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting in Des Moines. The
award recognizes Farm Bureau members who voluntarily take time to

Dubuque County Farm Bureau.
