WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - The waterpark phenomena, which many credit
as starting in Wisconsin Dells, has taken on huge proportions in this
small community.
Think 15.7 million gallons of water and more than 200 waterslides.
Today, Wisconsin Dells boasts America's largest indoor waterpark,
largest outdoor waterpark and the world's highest concentration of
waterparks overall.
According to Romy Snyder, executive director of the local Visitor
& Convention Bureau, it's been a combination of entrepreneurial
spirit and good-natured competition that has put Wisconsin Dells on
the map when it comes to waterparks.
