Situated in the heart of the tri-state area's dairy country, Swiss
Valley Farms' milk bottling plant in Dubuque has been a mainstay of
the local economy.
The facility is the connector between producer and consumer,
processing milk from more than 300 tri-state area dairy farms into
more than 4 million gallons of beverages each month.
About 170 employees are responsible for taking the raw milk from
the farm, processing and packaging it, then delivering the assortment
of products to the customer. The familiar gallon and half-gallon jugs
of milk, even the half-pint cartons for school children's lunches,
all begin here.
