Article: Anderson gets back to his roots with Midwest shows; Longtime comedian comes to Dubuque

Louie Anderson has always had a natural knack for comedy."I used to talk, and people would laugh at me," the 51-year-old comedian said in a phone interview. "Then I would tell them I was serious, and they would laugh even harder."

After 25 years of entertaining, the laughter continues.

Anderson, who is touring throughout the Midwest, will make a stop at the Brass Ring Saturday.

Comedian Scott Hansen will open for Anderson.

A native of St. Paul, Minn., Anderson said he especially enjoys performing for fellow Midwesterners.
