Under Bush's economic policies, jobs are being lost, wages are
lower and the deficit is climbing
The Labor Day holiday gives us another opportunity to consider
economic/labor issues. President Bush characterizes the economy as
both "strong" and "turning the corner" toward better times. But the
reality is that millions of American families, including more and
more middle-income households, confront deep economic trouble.
Employees everywhere face layoffs, downsizing, outsourcing,
unaffordable health care and disappearing benefits and pensions. Bush
has presided over an economy increasingly dominated by slow job
growth, low wages, few if any benefits and more part-time and
