Article: Dow Jones names Zannino as new CEO; The current chairman, Peter Kann, will remain in his post until 2007

NEW YORK (AP) - Dow Jones & Co., publisher of The Wall Street Journal, named chief operating officer Richard Zannino on Tuesday to become its new CEO, replacing Peter Kann, who will remain as chairman until 2007.

The company also announced that Kann's wife, Karen Elliott House, will retire from the company by mutual agreement. House, like Kann, had a long career as a journalist at the Journal and most recently was its publisher.

Dow Jones said in a statement that House will stay on for "a couple of transition months." Company spokeswoman Amy Wolfcale said in response to an e-mail query that House's role would not be filled "in its current form," and that the future role of the newspaper's ...
