East set to meet West in Turkey; Asian nation eyes membership in European Union

Turkey as part of the European Union? It likely will happen, but the implications for the East and West are enormous, said a Great Decisions lecturer Thursday.

Robert Wehrle spoke at the Northeast Iowa Community College Town Clock Center for Professional Development on Turkey and its future in the European Union. Wehrle has taught college-level business classes and has worked in the international petroleum industry for more than three decades. He is a business consultant and lives in Galena, Ill.
