IOWA CITY (AP) - With two games remaining and a Big Ten title
within sight, the last thing Steve Alford expects is for Iowa to
overlook Penn State.
And considering Iowa escaped with an 80-76 victory at Penn State
six weeks ago, Alford insists the Hawkeyes have every reason not look
beyond tonight's rematch to the regular season finale Saturday
against Wisconsin.
"Penn State got our attention at Penn State," Alford said.
Unlike previous seasons, the No. 23 Hawkeyes (20-8, 9-5 Big Ten)
will face a Penn State team with plenty riding on the outcome.
The Nittany Lions (14-12, 6-9) are playing for a rare postseason
berth and are led by one of the league's top scorers. A victory in
