Mike Kloser became one of the top adventure racers in the world by
learning how to cope with the worst of conditions.
So, when he complained about the terrain and weather in the
recently completed Primal Quest expedition adventure race, it must
have been pretty nasty.
Kloser, a 1978 graduate of Dubuque Hempstead, captained the
Colorado-based Team Nike (a.k.a. Nike/Powerblast) to its fourth
straight Primal Quest title in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The four-person co-ed team completed the 417-mile course in 143
hours.
