Grants given to help tell agriculture story
WATERLOO, Iowa - Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area
recently announced $45,000 in grants to help sites, communities and
organizations tell the story of American agriculture in northeastern
Iowa.
Four Mounds Foundation, in Dubuque, will receive $5,000 to install
wayside signs at the Historic Barn, Ice House and Hog Shed.
Limestone Bluffs Resource Conservation and Development Inc., doing
business as The Iowa Wine Trail, in Maquoketa, will receive $5,700 to
create a marketing and information DVD telling the story of the Iowa
Wine Trail wineries.
