My caller is the front-desk receptionist for a large downtown-Washington real estate company. She says she usually has X-ray vision when it comes to ferreting out phonies and unwanted salesmen. They can dress up in all the Brooks Brothers shirts and all the yellow ties they like. She'll promptly spot them for what they are and turn them away-sharply if necessary.
