If you think the Dubuque area building boom was fast and furious
during the past five years, you ain't seen nothing yet.
The next few years promise an unprecedented spate of major
projects. From a proposed fertilizer plant expected to turn coal into
natural gas and diesel (perhaps the biggest capital expenditure the
tri-states has ever seen) to the next wave of development at the Port
of Dubuque, the future looks extremely busy for the local building
trades - should all those big plans come to pass.
With so many commercial and industrial building projects pitched,
it's hard to keep track of what's what.
