Now that traditional weddings are back in fashion and the bridal
industry is booming, the once-outdated ritual of the bachelor party
is back in swing.
Perfectly reasonable couples suddenly find it necessary to have
14 ushers and bridesmaids, several pre-wedding cocktail parties, a
bridal luncheon, a post-wedding brunch-and, of course, a bachelor
blowout.
If it all begins to sound like a flashback to the 1950s, it's
because such rituals do hark back to the era in which young
professionalism as we know it today got its true start.
