Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The University of
Pennsylvania has named Glen Miller as the new head men's
basketball coach, taking over for Fran Dunphy.
After 17 years with the Quakers, Dunphy left to take the head
coaching job vacated by John Chaney at Temple.
Miller will be introduced at a press conference on Wednesday
afternoon.
"In conducting our search for Fran Dunphy's successor, we
set very high standards," said University of Pennsylvania
president Amy Gutmann. "First and foremost, the next men's
basketball coach would have to embrace the Penn ethos of scholar
