Article: PPG deals expand coatings business

PPG Industries Inc. said Thursday it expects to increase its annual coatings revenue by $400 million by acquiring a California firm's worldwide performance coatings and finishing businesses, and buying out its partners in a South Korean venture.

Pittsburgh-based PPG said it expects to finalize its agreement to buy the worldwide performance coatings and finishing business of Ameron International Corp. of Pasadena for $155 million, plus unspecified working capital adjustments. The deal, pending regulatory reviews in Europe, is expected to be completed within 30 to 45 days.
