PPG Industries Inc. said Thursday it expects to increase its
annual coatings revenue by $400 million by acquiring a California
firm's worldwide performance coatings and finishing businesses, and
buying out its partners in a South Korean venture.
Pittsburgh-based PPG said it expects to finalize its agreement to
buy the worldwide performance coatings and finishing business of
Ameron International Corp. of Pasadena for $155 million, plus
unspecified working capital adjustments. The deal, pending regulatory
reviews in Europe, is expected to be completed within 30 to 45 days.
Ameron has manufacturing sites in the United States, Europe,
Australia and New Zealand, plus warehouses and offices around ...
