Article: Ekman makes preseason debut on top line

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - Like everyone else, Nils Ekman knew Sidney Crosby was talented.

But as one of the Penguins' newest wingers, he didn't realize just how good until he arrived at training camp last Friday and started playing on a line with Crosby and Colby Armstrong.

"I had no idea that he's this good," Ekman said Tuesday when the Penguins dropped their preseason opener, 5-2, to the Ottawa Senators. "He's just amazing and just an amazing person. He's a great kid and so mature for his age. I just think the way he carries himself and his opinions about everything are just amazing. He's a very intelligent person."
