It's unlikely David B.H. Allen ever imagined his legacy would stir so many questions nearly two centuries after his birth. But those inquiries continue and Allen's descendants have most of the answers.

Fred Allen and his sister, Suzie Quinto, and their cousin, Allyene Kelly, all of Rostraver Township, are the caretakers of the family history.

"He was my great-grandfather," Fred Allen said of David B.H. Allen. "He's the one who apparently started everything."

Well, almost.
