It's every baseball player's dream to play in the World Series.
For major leaguers, it's called the Fall Classic. For college
players, it's the Road to Omaha. And for 12-year-olds, it's a trip to
Williamsport for the Little League World Series.
But for 13- and 14-year-olds, their series has been held in
Western Pennsylvania.
For the past 55 years, Washington, the home of Pony League
baseball, has played host to the Pony League World Series. Former
major-league players who earned World Series rings -- Joel Horlen,
Wes Parker, Alex Fernandez and Greg Swindell -- played in the Pony
World Series.
The annual tournament kicked off Saturday at Washington's Lew Hays
