German food and brews are the focus of Penn Brewery's Oktoberfest
2006, Friday-Sunday, and Sept. 22-24.
In addition to the North Side brewery's selection of microbrews on
tap, its special Oktoberfest Bier -- a rich, deep golden-colored
lager that's smooth and mellow -- will be served. The beverage also
is available at select bars and restaurants in the region or can be
purchased in bottles at local distributors or from the brewery.
Traditional foods, from grilled wurst and chicken, to pulled pork
sandwiches and apple strudel, will be served outdoors in the Fest
Tent; for a larger selection of items, the brewery's restaurant will
