Thomas Jefferson is headed back to Heinz Field.
Again.
For a fourth consecutive season, the Jaguars will play for the
WPIAL Class AAA football championship, following a stirring 30-9
semifinals victory against defending PIAA champion Franklin Regional
on Friday night at North Hills High School's Martorelli Stadium.
Thomas Jefferson rallied from a nine-point, first-quarter deficit.
"Once we got it going, we were in business," Thomas Jefferson
coach Bill Cherpak said.
Thomas Jefferson (12-0), which lost to Franklin Regional, 31-14,
in last season's WPIAL championship game, will move on to face
Blackhawk in the championship game at 4:30 p.m. next Friday at Heinz
Field.
