Visit the rifle range at the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club
at most times of the year and, unless there's a special shoot going
on, you'll find plenty of elbow room.
This weekend is the exception.
With the start of Pennsylvania's two-week firearms deer season
just a week away -- it runs Nov. 27 to Dec. 9 -- the club opened its
range yesterday and today to anyone wanting to sight in their rifle.
Hunters, as they always do, flocked in like swallows returning to
Capistrano.
"It's almost like opening day of trout season," said Lou Romito, a
board member at the club. "During the rest of the year, you might see
10 to 12 people on the range over the course of the day. This
