Ernest S. Bryon was appointed to the newly created position, vice
president of business development in Asia, for Koppers Inc. He will
relocate to China to be better positioned to grow markets in the
company's two core businesses and develop new areas. Also, Mark R.
McCormack was appointed vice president of Australian operations. His
responsibilities will include Koppers' carbon materials and
chemicals business and its timber preservation business. The board
of directors appointed James C. Stalder a director of the company,
