A pair of respected classics, a couple of recent appearances on
the New York stage, a brand-new comedy about Pittsburgh, a favorite
holiday tale and one yet-to-be-designated drama are all on the
Pittsburgh Public Theater's 2007-08 schedule.
Six plays are planned for the subscription season, plus an
additional play for which subscribers will have first dibs on
tickets.
"Our seasons are about range," says Pittsburgh Public Theater
artistic director Ted Pappas, who acknowledges that including a
diverse variety of plays in each season already was a well-
established practice when he became artistic director in 2000. "It's
