Paper ballots will be at each of Westmoreland County's 306 voting
precincts today as a precaution against glitches that left several
computerized machines inoperable in November.
"They're there just in case there are problems," said Election
Bureau Director Jim Montini.
With a light turnout expected and a lawsuit challenging electronic
voting machines stalled in appeals, officials and pundits predict few
problems with today's primary election.
"I sense no sense of excitement about this election whatsoever,"
