The Hot Glass Roadshow will roll into the Artists Market Saturday
and Sunday to demonstrate the graceful art of hot-glassmaking
techniques, using a furnace that melts glass to temperatures as hot
as molten lava.
"It's a great opportunity to bring that theme into the festival,
because the festival is really about connecting the community to the
arts. You don't usually walk into a glass studio without a specific
invitation," says Lindsay Clark, communications coordinator of the
Arts Festival, which is co-presenting the Hot Glass Roadshow with the
"Pittsburgh Celebrates Glass!" celebration.
