Hill District leaders, government officials and the Pittsburgh
Penguins announced a partnership Friday to help the community meet
its goal of getting a cut of the money from a new hockey arena and
guaranteed jobs for minorities.
"This was the first date. When you go on a first date, you never
try to get everything you want," said state Rep. Jake Wheatley, D-
Hill District, as he left a two-hour meeting at the Downtown offices
of the city-county Sports & Exhibition Authority.
"I'm smiling so it must have went well," said Wheatley, who led a
neighborhood coalition.
No details about the partnership were announced after the meeting
