Monday
Employers in the seven-county Pittsburgh region added 9,900 jobs
in March, with the construction and leisure, and hospitality
industries leading the way, the state said. More jobs and fewer
people in the work force resulted in a drop in the jobless rate to
3.6 percent in March, from 3.9 percent in February.
Tuesday
Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. of Murrysville said it plans to
add 400 jobs statewide over the next five years in a $30 million
expansion across its 26 operations in Pennsylvania. Cleveland
Brothers operates the Caterpillar heavy equipment dealership
previously owned by Beckwith Co.
