What a difference a console makes.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" hurts on the Wii. Not
just the eyes, but the arm. And, if you get frustrated by the poor
mechanics, the head, too.
On the Xbox 360, "Pirates" dazzles with its next-generation
graphics. In some instances, the characters look so lifelike, it's a
level 8 on the creep meter. For a movie tie-in, it's not that bad,
either. Dare I say it's enjoyable?
"Pirates" is a triple threat of things I'm keen on: the movie,
Johnny Depp and video games. But I remember the agony of playing the
tie-in title "Dead Man's Chest," the stereotypical thrown-together,
bargain-bin fodder.
I popped in the Wii version first and wasn't surprised ...
