Two weeks removed from halting season-ticket sales for the first
time, the Penguins made more history Monday by accepting requests
from fans for placement on a waiting list.
With the club nearing a record of 13,500 full-season equivalent
packages, the waiting list was established to meet public demand to
attend the upstart hockey club's home games this season.
"This is a first for us," vice president of communications Tom
McMillan said. "It is all very new."
A spot on the waiting list costs $200 per seat -- a fee that would
be applied to the price of season tickets upon their availability.
Fans on the waiting list also receive opportunities to buy six-
and 12-pack plans and single-game ...
