Pirates manager Jim Tracy inked Jack Wilson's name on the lineup
card Friday, then made sure everyone got the message.
"Jack's our shortstop," Tracy said, repeating the phrase three
times for emphasis.
Wilson started last night's game against the Houston Astros at PNC
Park, while new arrival Cesar Izturis sat on the bench. But will
Wilson still be in the lineup -- will he even be on the team -- when
the non-waiver trade deadline passes in 11 days?
"That's a good question," Wilson said. "I don't know. I hope so,
but I'm not too sure."
The Pirates acquired Izturis, a former All-Star and Gold Glove
winner, Thursday from the Chicago Cubs. The move fueled speculation
