Royal York Auction Gallery
It's back to business with Royal York owner Bob Simon and crew
Saturday at the East End auction emporium. Most notable is an
impressive assortment of mahogany and oak furniture, ranging from
tables of various styles and periods to a double-bed head- and
footboard. An upright, walnut-cased Steinway piano promises to dress
up nearly any room, as does a trio of barrister bookcases. Serving
well as complements are a bevy chair, a Sheraton-style sofa and a
Queen secretary's desk, to name a few. In addition, bidders will vie
for Oriental rugs, contemporary sculpture, traditional portrait and
landscape paintings, American Brilliant glassware, silver, jewelry
