Article: Dog days ahead

COLONIAL HEIGHTS -- Justin Duvall's name is no longer on the waiting list to receive a service dog to help him out around the house.

The 20-year-old Hopewell resident -- who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair -- celebrated that fact yesterday at the Ukrop's in Colonial Square Shopping Center.

Through a partnership between the grocery store and the Milk-Bone Canine Heroes Program, Duvall was selected to receive a dog free of charge from an organization called Canine Assistants based in Atlanta.

Representatives from Ukrop's corporate offices and Milk-Bone, and members of Duvall's family came out for the ceremony.
