Greensburg District Judge James Albert may be moving

After trying for years to relocate to a new office, Greensburg District Judge James Albert said he is pleased by a proposal to move from the Westmoreland County Courthouse to the former county 911 building in downtown Greensburg.

"It would be a big improvement for us," said Albert, who has been a district judge for 17 years.

Mel Wohlgemuth, county engineer, confirmed the relocation is being considered to the first floor of the building at 40 N. Pennsylvania Ave. It coincides with a study to determine how to make better use of space at the courthouse.
