Article: D.C. Pet Adoption Box; Smokey, a 2-year-old pointer mix, was rescued from a residence where he allegedly had been neglected. Washington Humane Society officers found Smokey with a collar embedded in his neck. Smokey, who has healed from the wound, was surrendered to the Humane Society and made available for adoption.
